What the average guy needs to know to have good skin in the winter:
Canadian winters are both cold and dry - two things we don’t want for our skin. Lots of us spend time outside whether walking to the office or hitting the slopes.
Get your own stuff. Stop using your girlfriend, sister or mom’s. Most of the time, men’s skin is tougher than women’s - which might be great for your ego but it means its harder to penetrate the surface of the cells and hydrate the inside.
Before bed, use a moisturizer that contains Vitamin E. It will penetrate the surface of the skin. Actually, use this moisturizer all the time.
Rub some into your skin before hitting the slopes or even a stroll in the city. It’ll protect your face from the cold.
When you go back inside, if your skin starts feeling dry - rub in a bit more. Indoor heat can dry your skin out a bunch. If you’re feeling fancy, maybe grab a humidifier.
Gently wash your face before bed. It’ll get rid of dirt and any dry skin that’s hanging out.
